Holy crap I haven’t posted in a month! I really don’t know where to begin other than to say this post won’t be long because I’m tired as hell. I was up late, got up early, then spent the rest of the day running around for no apparent reason, save one (I did have an appointment I had to make). Other than that it’s been all good. Mother’s day was great and I spent some quality time with the family. I actually got my pulse pen (ie Lightscribe) but even more crazy is I have yet to use it. That’s partly because it came a day before my week of vacation concluding tomorrow. But back to the ill conceived thought that this would be a short post..

So.. Sex and the City tomorrow. I’m on the hook to travel with a few coworkers (all women), so I will probably get the token gay member of the group pass (not that theres anything wrong with that) but no worries, I can deal. I was halfway thinking of dressing the part if I had something outrageously flamboyant. I’m not expecting much of the movie so it should be great! Truth be told I loved the series. It was smartly written and half of the stuff talked about could pose for stuff guys talk about with guy stuff substituted in. So in the end I guess we’re all not too different, save the venus and mars pieces.

Anyway there’s so much I wanna say and not enough time so i’ll just end now. We could always use more peeps to enjoy the flick so if you’re not doing anything around 10:30 a.m. and you’re near the Gateway theatre come on by!

Weird day today, first left my wallet at home and didn’t realize it until I was ready to pay at Mangias. Good thing I wasn’t alone or it would have been interesting. Next I drive all the way home from the Burnet/Domain area to Round Rock, grab my wallet then head back fighting traffic so that I can get to class all the way down 360 to Bee Caves. I’m 5 minutes out from class and I get a call saying that class has been cancelled because to many people have called to say they won’t make it. No big deal because I’m already pretty tired anyway.

I have a thought to skip out for a brew or two, but ever since I started on my new workout regimen I’ve been sleeping really freaking good the last few days and eating fairly decent (save for pizza today). Good thing I didn’t because I quite possibly just watched the best Survivor episode ever and i’ve seen them all.

Anyway, I know i’ve been a little lazy in updates the past few days. Between the workouts and real work, i’ve had little time for anything else. Good thing I’m taking off tomorrow to recharge! I’ll start the morning off with a good workout, decent breakfast, then relax until 10:30 when I go to check out Iron Man. That should be a pretty decent Friday, eh?

I Want To Believe

Walking into the office today my thoughts turned to the poster from the X-Files that basically outlined Mulder’s being on the show. I’m not sure why it came up or why it resonated with me at that moment but it did. I started thinking about all the things that I wanted to believe in then I got a little sad. I remembered back to all the things that were possible when I was a little kid, how everything still seemed within reach even when I got older.

I think we all have moments like this at some point and sometimes they hit home harder than at other times as well. For me, it was a momentary lapse that made me pause and think longer about it than maybe I should have….or maybe not.

Well its on the way! After receiving my email welcoming me to the the Kindle family and my tracking number, I promptly went online and ordered 3 books, a newspaper and a blog subscription. I’m really looking forward to my birthday gift to myself. I already envision myself walking into some eatery and pulling out my kindle with everyone oohing and awwing at it (lol).

Things to do in Denver

So, I finally found my camera and pulled some images off from my trip to Denver last year to check out the Broncos with my buddy Tony. Paul Smith who’s a good friend of Tony got us tickets and a sweet ass hotel room where he stays during the season. As you can tell from the photos it was way colder than it is here in Texas. It was a great trip and I hope to go back sometime this year during the season.

Thanks to the guys at Taragana my translation software is working much faster. Now I can plan for world domination!! But really, I do have some big plans for the software so I was very excited to see that it worked as advertised. I can’t wait until I’m done with class tonight so the weekend can officially start. I’ll be doing some web work for myself and some real work for the 9 to 5 for a bit as well but I hope to relax and maybe catch a movie tomorrow or treat my XBOX360 to some playtime since its been feeling pretty unloved. Whatever the plans I intend to enjoy them!

I’m in the midst of getting my translation software fixed. It’s a critical piece of the puzzle for my other secret internet ventures I’m working on. Only Redslush has an idea to the extent and he only knows a little! Tommorow is shaping up to be a long day since I probably won’t get home until after 10 pm. Anyway I have a few things I need to take care of then i’m crashing. Later!

So I got my Podcast equipment today. In all honesty I probably won’t get to play around with it until the weekend because alot of the equipment is pretty foreign to me. In addition since I run Vista, I need to check to make sure the software works well. It should however be fun! (more…)
