I need to start putting more crap up. I’ll try daily even if it sucks. Anyway I had a good workout this a.m. I woke up at 4:30 did 40 minutes of cardio then hit the gym. Everything was crisp and I went through all my reps pretty quick. I think the key is getting to bed by 10 and no later than 10:30. Anything after makes it tougher to get up and going.
I still want to get a semi game site going to do periodic reviews etc, but nothing thats too heavy and time consuming. I talked to my bud Auric over at Ianstorm who’s got some plans in the works that i’d love to be apart of if I can help, as it would put me back over into the game industry in a small capacity. We’ll see what happens.
Car stuff for me
// July 6th, 2006 // No Comments » // Just Blogging, Life
Lots of fun stuff this week. First of all I’ve been off since last Friday with a combination of holiday and vacation time off. It’s been great! Last saturday I added four new Goodyear Assurance ComforTred to replace the crappy self-sealing Continental tires that came on the car. I had been having some problems with vibration etc when I got up to 65 or so and with the new tires the ride is much quieter with no vibrations whatsoever. The car just feels better also when i’m driving. I read where people were averaging 13k to 18k miles on the stock tires before they went bald and I was still running mine at 21k miles.
The second best thing I did was get an oil change and add a K&N replacement air filter after the place I went too didn’t have any crap air filters in stock. The guy working on my car recommended it, so 45 dollars later my car was running as good or better than when I first purchased it. I’m definitely interested in adding more products to increase/improve airflow etc to the engine now! So it’s been a really good vacation in terms of stuff for my car.
EA Sucks

I hate EA. The debacle that is the release of NFL Head Coach has only confirmed how crappy they are and how lucky they are to wield so much power in the gaming industry not to care about gamers. First they screwed the shipping of the game which was supposed to ship the 19th. Then to top it off, they offered a download version of the game on the ship date but have so far be unable to get their knockoff version of Steam to work successfully.
 I was hoping to be playing around with the game while I watched the NBA Finals. In fact i’ve been jonesing for it for a while. Instead i’m forced to wait another day (or two) for a game I preordered to be here by now. I wonder what would happen if they didn’t have an exclusive NFL license. Would it be more passion and care for the gamers that by their products?? Doubtful.
Summer…summer…summertime!
// June 12th, 2006 // No Comments » // Just Blogging
In the recent past summer tv has caught on fire with it being almost as good and sometimes better than the fall. For one, i’m happy with the change. In fact, i’m in the middle of enjoying Hell’s Kitchens Chef Ramsey freak out on the new batch of “chefs”. I have the DVR set to grab Kyra Sedgwick in The Closer and I still have the two hour premiere of The 4400 to watch along with Vince and the gang in Entourage. Man summer rocks!
Back in the Saddle Again

Wow! What a difference 6 months makes. An all new look away from the old blogging software to WordPress, a new hosting company and lots of new fun stuff on the way! From my previous post that I converted over to this new site I was pretty optimistic that it could do the job. Funny how things change.
 Here’s to hoping that new found accessibility, easy setup, and general enjoyment of playing around on the site means more frequest posts!
 Until later…
Prodigal son returns

So, I was staying up late just to see if USC would get beat by Fresno State. After an incredible run by Reggie Bush to make it 40-28 I know it ain’t gonna happen…
This was the reason I had stayed up and decided to take a look around at a few sports game pages because I am anticipating the release of the new XBox 360 debuting on Tuesday. During my research I was checking out the really nice design of Calvert Games and even contemplated for 30 seconds how hard it would be to change over to that blogging system, which inevitably led me back here! What a long round about way of saying that I’d really like to change my design so I would be more motivated to blog. =)
I’ve even thought about getting a really nice camera so I can add pictures from time to time as well. We’ll see what the future holds as I start to research all the new additions to the PMachine engine. I hope theres so nice goodies!!
IBM and Blogging
// May 17th, 2005 // No Comments » // Life, Work
Today IBM, the company I work for announced an internal initiative for blogging. The provided link regarding this issue not only points out the challenges, but potential benefits of taking steps forward into the worldwide community of blogging.
Very interesting to say in the least, as the guidelines provide the opportunity to use external sources of blog software, much like the one I currently under-utilize here. ![]()
Time will tell, but I would like to utilize this for my team, in order to not only impart additional information to make our customer base successful, but to provide customers with additional outlets of communication with our support teams. We shall see.
Happy Mothers Day Mom!
// May 9th, 2005 // No Comments » // Life, Random Thoughts
Well it looks like i’m relegated to posting only on major US holidays. Consider the trend currently ongoing as the last post was on Valentines Day. But I digress…
Mothers Day kind of sucked since I didn’t get the chance to see mom or give her a card. The only saving grace was that I got to spend time with my parents on Friday choosing to spend the night and head back to Austin on Saturday. Still, I would have liked to have seen my mom today.
On an entirely different note I missed Enterprise on Friday but luckily one of my three tivos caught it. *laugh* There was a really good actress on the show named Johanna Watts and I found out that she actually lived in Austin for awhile doing local theatre etc. It’s really cool when you see good acting, it makes the really bad acting stand out. =) I shot her an email (ain’t the net great!) telling her that I really liked her on the show etc. and made some suggestions about her site which included adding an area so she could blog and got a note back which I thought was really cool. Anyway i can’t beleive I gave someone suggestions on blogging, considering my questionable blogging here. Anyway I may have to add some side links to actors/actresses I like. I do know that these colors on the site suck and if I’m gonna keep trying to use this as a personal diary something has to be done. But I digress. =)
Suffice it to say, cool chick (from what I could tell), really good actress. Makes me really want to check out the creative side of this town I live and work in and see if there are any other diamonds in the rough waiting to be discovered.
Musings..

Last night, in beween catching up on episodes of Deadwood and building a DVD bookshelf which I purchased at least 6 months ago and finally broke out to put together, I started thinkig about how all the undone, uncompleted tasks in and around my house had become a statement for what my life had become.
The sad (or funny, depending on our perspective) part was that I didn’t care up until last night. I kep thinking about my room and how I needed to clean it up except I couldn’t because it meant that I would actually have to start cleaning up everything else around the house… the kitchen, the living room the computer room, garage etc. All of them were areas of my life that I had made ecxuses for not doing something about.
Hopefully, I can continue to move forward, one small project at a time until everything is cleaned up or fixed and in the spot its supposed to be. I guess only time will tell…
